I love The Walking Dead comics. I have a strange fascination for all things zombies, and I love board games, so naturally when I found out that this summer there would be The Walking Dead board game I got pretty excited. Then I found out there would be TWO! But…
This is the other one, based on the tv show. Let’s just ignore it.
The website says: “Become a player and take on the role of a survivor in a world suddenly full of zombies. With only one companion at the start of the game, each player must struggle to gather resources, find other survivors, and eventually find a refuge from the zombies that have taken over the landscape. Can you find enough resources and scout enough locations to find a safe haven to escape to?
Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead - The Board Game is published by Z-Man Games. For 1-6 players, may be played solitaire, cooperatively, or viciously cut-throat. Ages [13+]. Playing time 45-60 minutes. $39.99, on sale late Summer 2011.”
It sounds promising! I love playing board games. My favourites are Arkham Horror, Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica, Puerto Rico, Settlers of Catan, Bohnanza, Bang, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dominion… I’m a nerd okay.
